December has the longest nights of any in the year. In centuries past, folks were afraid the sun would disappear. They lit grand fires to bring it back with feasting and good cheer.
Friends and neighbors joined together for an evening of spirit and reflection, of candle light and music, while feasting upon soups and breads and desserts a plenty.
Light is returning even though this is the darkest hour
No one can hold back the dawn
Let’s keep it burning let’s keep the flame of the hope alive
Make safe our journey through the storm
One planet is turning circle on her path around the sun
Earth mother is calling her children home
